My name is Oluwaseyi James, though I also go by Shay. Our bakery is a delightful destination for all baked goods lovers, with a diverse range of flavours available in various forms to satisfy every plate.

Let me share the origin story of OJS Bakery. I discovered my love for baking at the tender age of 10 in Osun–state, Nigeria. Back then, using a mixer and oven was not the norm, so I improvised with a large turning stick and a pot filled with sand, which I used to bake my cakes. I continued this practice for some time, and my family would indulge in my baked goods with great pleasure. However, I cannot recall why I stopped baking.

I immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada, in 2015 to pursue a degree. Ultimately, I completed my studies and graduated in 2021 with a diploma in Business Administration. Despite always having flour on hand, I rarely baked. It was not until I invested in a mixer a few years later that I began baking again, albeit sporadically. In the past year, I pondered over a pastime to fill my time after work and rediscovered my passion for baking. Since then, I have enthusiastically pursued baking as a hobby; it reminds me of home. With the guidance of supportive friends and family, I contemplated transforming it into a lucrative side business to share my love for home(Nigeria), baking and decorating.
